I got a ticket number for both my tickets I put in for. I don't have a serial number all I have is a reference number from the emails they sent to me when I first bought the product. What next?

your serial number will be in the emails you got when you ordered them.

give tom xiang A PM with all your details + ticket number and ask him to check your key, he might need you to send in your key for them to check it, but that'll be up to SS.

Why are so many people having problems with keys lately?

You should have received replies for both tickets, perhaps you have to check your spam folder.

What EXACTLY happens if you double click on the license file 'key.AnyDVD'?

I save it to my desktop and then when i try to open it, it says: windows cannot open this file. windows does not know what program created it. also if i right click on it and click properties there a spot in there that says OPENS WITH...what should i have there?

Windows gave you that message because you need to install ANYDVD before you double click the key. It is supposed to have a FOX icon too.

What firewall are you using

Rename the file anydvd.reg

Now double click on it.

It will add the key details into your registry automatically.

This will not work on 64bit OS (Windows XP64 or Vista64).
Better to install AnyDVD and use the "Register AnyDVD" program from the start menu - or double-click the "Key" file.

I was able to get it to work...i think......all i did was rename it to anydvd.reg....thanks for everyones help....you guys are GREAT!!!!!!!

I think because TU was trying to register before installing
Changing the reg extesion to .reg allowed direct import into registry by windows

It would work on regular window but not 64 bit because of slightly diff reg setup

You guys stop picking on poor James! He's had enough problems lately. Just ignore them, James...they're just jealous.

Actually there was nothing wrong with what James posted.. he is dead correct - 64bit systems have a diff setup.

My suggestion was just a 'quick-fix' for our friend with a 32bit sys.

But at the end of the day, you really should use Jame's routine, click on reg app from the programs "start group", find the key.. restart the app - and you're all done.. all regged!

Oh there's no question in my mind that the original person with the problem didn't have the program installed before they tried to import the registration info. I know James' suggestion was correct, but, Tom was giving him a hard time and I thought I'd "defend" James from the tyranny. (Tom, if you're new to my posts, I tend to jest a lot so don't take offense to anything I say). I'm just glad the poster's problem was fixed...not being able to register AnyDVD correctly would make me
