I have used AnyDVD for a couple of years. I recently download the latest version, and installed it wthout difficulty. I rebooted, and clicked on the Fox icon. A message appeared which stated that AnyDVD.exe could not be found.

I opened the Slysoft folder, and clicked the .exe icon. An hourglass appeared for only a moment. I then clicked on the AnyDVD DVD ripper icon, and the appllication opened.

I removed all of my antispyware and antivirus software from startup, via MSConfig. I deleted the AnyDVD folder, and reinstalled it, but to no avail.

Any help given will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

you said you deleted the anydvd folder and then reinstalled it...why don't you try doing a proper UNINSTALL rather than just deleting the folder.

it sounds like you just have a shortcut to a place where the .exe file no longer exists. when where your shortcut is linked to? is it actually linked to the anydvd.exe file or is it in some other directory?

I agree with reasonsnotrules. I would install it then uninstall it the correct way after that is done delete the folder, clean all temp folders and clean the registery, reboot re- install apply the key again all should be good from there.

I did use AnyDVD's uninstaller, and I did delete the folder. I clicked on the AnyDVD .exe icon within its folder. The registery is out of bounds for me; however, I will delete the temp folders. Thanks.

you never said you uninstalled in your original post...you just said you deleted.

also when you uninstall using the anydvd unisntaller it asks if you'd like to delete the registry information. it does it automatically.

along with any temp folders, you can also manually delete any shortcuts that you may have created as well and then reinstall the program.
