Can't copy Something's Gotta Give?

I cannot seem to copy the 2003 R1 DVD 'Something's Gotta Give'. I tried using DVD Shrink alone then I tried AnyDVD 6.0.8.0 in both E: and D: drives--both times I get error messages and if I ignore those the counter moves to like 1,800 minutes to download. Are there some movies that just won't copy no matter what?

I have also noticed that my D: drive (the one I primarily use) sometimes will not work, but then my E: drive will. Is it possible to 'wear out' your drives?

Thanks!

Re: Can't copy Something's Gotta Give?

Try clonedvd2 from slysoft and see if things read better. Yes some drives have a better reading capability than others I have a litey and a benq. Sometimes the benq won't read and the litey will. So this is normal. What do you mean it just won't work?

Re: Can't copy Something's Gotta Give?

I will get the read error message and then it will just keep processing, even over 100%--I am trying it again right now and this is what it looks like:

Okay, I guess I can't paste a 'Print Screen' into this message. Well anyway, right now it says '141% processed' and is still going.

I just tried to copy it using CloneDVD2 but it says it is copy protected. I thought that is what AnyDVD is supposed to decrypt?

Make sure anydvd is running. I haven't done this title but it sounds like you are forgetting something maybe?

Check your taskbar and make sure AnyDVD fox is running otherwise you will get that DVD-protection popup when you make a backup. If not make sure you check the option menu in AnyDVD to startup AnyDVD on startup that should then allow you to backup your media.
