can I use AnyDVD on a 'puter that's not online? I've been using AnyDVD for 20 days (where'd those 3 weeks go?) and am very satisfied that it's a great product. But, before I make the purchase I have one more question that I can't seem to find an answer to: Will I be able to register AnyDVD on a computer that's not connected to the Internet? I use my laptop for all our Internet surfing/business, and the "big" computer that has the DVD-ROM and a DVD-RW drive is only used for gaming & movie watching. I had no trouble backing up the AnyDVD demo to CD & transferring it from my laptop to the "big" one, and it runs great (we're using 1Click for copying). But I know that some software requires that the computer be connected for registration purposes. Is that the case with AnyDVD or would I be able to just transfer the activation data/file over from my laptop? Hope I didn't make the question too babbly, I'm sure there's a simple answer! Thanks in advance, and Thanks for all the great info here. I'm impressed by how much folks here are willing to help each other and share their knowledge! If I can make a success of getting AnyDVD registered for use, I expect to be around a good bit!

Re: can I use AnyDVD on a 'puter that's not online? Yes prissy, copy the activation keys to a floppy or a USB pen drive and activate via that. Don't forget to keep a couple of copies of your keys in case you have to do a re-install and loose them. I don't think Slysoft mind you having it on two machines, but if that's not allowed, keep just the keys on your lappie. ![]()

Re: can I use AnyDVD on a 'puter that's not online? Thanks so much!!! I appreciate your quick answers, and the link to the other thread (how'd I miss that?). I really do only have one computer that will have AnyDVD on it; my little laptop doesn't have any DVD drive at all so it will only be on the "big" one. (sounds silly to keep saying the "big" one, but it has a 20-something-inch flat panel display, and we use it to watch movies so it does seem like a big computer... can you tell that we're a pair of technologically-challanged baby-boomers?)Thanks again - I'm off to make my purchase! ![]()
