I have use any dvd many times in the past but after purchasing the any dvd hd version I can't even detect a blue ray disc in my dvd drive. any dvd shows the drive as empty. when I put in a regular dvd it is detected. I thought that any dvd would detect blue ray disks as well. my pc is brand new and is running vista.

You will need a blu-ray drive.

Most Blu-ray drives are backward compatible with the older media, ie can read/write to DVD and CD. However, a DVD drive cannot read hi-def media.

You need to spend $700 for the Blue-Ray drive to enjoy that bule-ray disc reading.
