| damiandimitri: Earlier on in this thread you mentioned that you had problems when AnyDVD and RegionFree were co-resident. Did you (or anyone else) ever resolve this? I have AnyDVD on my W2K Pro machine and it works fine, but every time I install RegionFree to see how it compares, nothing happens. That is, it installs OK and reports no problems, but it just doesn't work. All applications supposedly capable of using the system (DVD2One say) refuse to proceed and report that the DVD is protected. The only non-standard feature I have is that my Pioneer 105 has had the firmware changed to facilitate certain features. Whatever, this doesn't give AnyDVD any hassle... -Pete |

| I had probs installing programs for a while...till i discovered my spy-ware killer blocked the install and functioning of some software. This took me so d*mn long to discover....that i was glad anydvd work proper. I didn't try regionfree afther that. But your probs seem to be the same as mine. It installs fine...but doesn't work. Will try to install it, regionfree, again in the next hour Damian |

Not removing Macrovision can be painful as well... Getting rid of PC-Friendly is fine, getting rid of Audio PC protections is awsome... Does DVD43 remove region protection? On RCE discs? Region code skripts? Why don't you try AnyDVD yourself?

Olli, why would you use AnyDVD with DVD Decrypter to make an ISO? DVD Decrypter strips CSS, macrovision, PUOs, region, etc. from the files it puts in the ISO, so what advantage does AnyDVD provide??? I use DVD Decrypter to routinely backup single layer DVDs with the ISO method, read ISO, and then write ISO. By the way, it would be great to see DVD Decrypter include this in one step, i.e. read from source DVD-ROM to ISO on hard drive and immediately start recording the ISO to DVD-/+R...., or even "on the fly!" The thing that I was most impressed about was that DVD Decrypter keeps all the file date and time stamps and volume label in ISO mode, all while stripping out the protection....BEAUTIFUL! Lightning UK! Anyway, Olli, I'm curious why you think AnyDVD is useful with DVD Decrypter.... P.S. Can someone explain what the "patch m2v timecode" function does in file and IFO mode? I notice it is not available in ISO mode, and am curious why I would ever need to "patch the m2v code..." Last edited by FordMan; 16-03-2004 at 18:02. | |

| Re: An Unbiased Opinion needed please!!! AnyDVD works with Matsushita UJ-811, DVD Region-Free does not. Many of the Acer Notebook Series owners have Matsushita DVD-drives. Answer is as simple as that.

| Re: An Unbiased Opinion needed please!!! Both DVD Region+CSS Free and AnyDVD work for Matsushita UJ-811 when drive region matchs with disc region, and both of them don't work when drive region doesn't match with disc region.

| Re: AnyDVD Vs DVD RegionFree Thank you for the correction. I referred to the "NOTE", that is on your site. Your answer clarified the statement.

| Re: you were right! Instant is meant to work better when higher compression is needed but other than that the quality should be similar. I prefer Clone's layout over Instant though and Instant is still buggy. Quote:
