| Re: Anydvd HD 6.1.2.0 beta I'm not sure if they can or not. They'd have to license the VC1 and H.264 MPEG4 codecs. (MPEG2 is already done in VLC). Plus they'd have to support the UDF 2.5 filesystem which Vista does natively but XP doesn't. It's not a simple task but not impossible either. |

| Re: Anydvd HD 6.1.2.0 beta I was told you need PowerDVD ultra to watch the HD-DVD files on the computer. http://www.cyberlink.com/multi/produ...n_112_ENU.html

| Re: Anydvd HD 6.1.2.0 beta AnyDVD HD does not require PowerDVD Ultra in order to rip a disc or to decrypt it. However, you need a player software of some kind in order to playback the disc on your computer. PowerDVD Ultra is the best of the bunch but IMO is buggy as hell. Hopefully they'll get the bugs worked out soon. There's apparently a version of WinDVD that can play them, as well, albeit lots of people have complained that it sucks. PowerDVD 6.5 HD will also work according to what I've read. Other than that, no other players that I'm aware of will work at this point in time. |
