anydvd crash win2000

As soon as i enter a dvd in either my burner or dvdrom the program closes and says something about the program had generated errors and needs to close. This is the only program i have ever had do this.

I was using dvd region killer previously but i uninstalled Region killer before installing anydvd, does it leve behind driver residue that could be affecting anydvd?

I checked the event viewer for possible errors and it was clean. However, when it says "the program has gen...to close" is there a log file for this?

Burner : liteon 411s (Secondary Slave)
dvdrom : liteon 166s (Primary Master)

So to recap anydvd on> insert dvd = program crash
anydvd uninstalled> dvd region killer installed= dvd plays

I did a search before posting and read the FAQ at the slysoft website but could find nothing relevant to the problem.

I'm not married to anydvd though it was only a trial version, is there another software that does on-the-fly dvd decrypting?

Not me. Is it the newest AnyDVD? Have you tried AnyDVD "SafeMode"?
