AnyDVD Discuss, AnyDVD and CD Protection at Copy Movie forum; I was wondering how AnyDVD takes care of Cd protection? Will it apply to most forms or does it target some that are already out there?

It puts the illegal TOC of a CD-DA into memory and 'unscrambles' it.

Thanks!

Is that the only copy protection that CD's are using?
Is that the only copy protection that AnyDVD takes care of?

Well, you're almost right...
Additionally AnyDVD hides any data session behind the audio tracks as well, so it does bypass any copy protection based on "garbage in the second session" (not only an "illegal TOC") as well as "bad compressed audio tracks" in the second session, or "anti copy protection autostart tool" in the second session...

It depends on the drive, but with my Plextor 708 and a NEC Writer so called "protected" AudioCDs look very unprotected!
