> How about:
"Removes constrained subtitles, waiting time and other limitations"

Can this be elaborated on? Never heard of 'constrained subs', and what 'waiting times and other limitations' exactly?<

They mean "forced subtitles" and user prohibitions like not being able to skip the FBI warning.

> "Works with all DVD-drives (no drives with ASPI driver from ADAPTEC), no matter what region code it has"

This means what, that we can't use 4.60 now? <

Forget this, please... these carribeans were confused.
Adaptec ASPI bypasses AnyDVD.sys driver. So what? Who cares? No Player software newer than 2 years uses ASPI... even DVD Decrypter can use ElbyCDIO or NTIO.

Adaptec ASPI will not cause any conflict, crash, etc, etc..., but software using Adaptec ASPI will not benefit from AnyDVD.

> And does 'Remove Analog Protection' mean it kills MV too? <
Sure, what else could this mean?

well unfortunately (and as I expected) it doesn't work on my dads 6 month old Toshiba Notebook DVD/Combo drive running on Windows XP, the error is exactly the same one I tried to chase down with Fengtao without any success, here's hoping you lot are better than him

Error code 89020003

The DVD disc might have been damaged so as to inhibit playback operation.
this is when using PowerDVD and with WinDVD it just locks up,

P.S. the drive is a Matshita (Panasonic) CW-8121

I got this error very early on in my Matsushita UJ-810. In some cases cleaning the disc helped (!) but there are steps to getting it unlocked.

Close CloneDVD, PowerDVD etc
Start and enable AnyDVD (check the region required!)
Insert the DVD
Watch the aDVD tray icon until it greys-out
Start CloneDVD, PowerDVD etc

and it should work.

With my LG DVD combo drive, HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC-4320B, I get a CSS error when trying to read from CloneDVD even though the AnyDVD icon greys-out for a moment when inserting the DVD. I found to make it work, I have to right-click on the AnyDVD tray icon, select settings and press OK, then the icon greys-out again for a moment and the DVD is accessed, then the drive is unlocked and CloneDVD reads. Weird!

With my HP dvd200i it works automatically from the tray just inserting the DVD.

Exiting CloneDVD, then playing the movie briefly in PowerDVD or WinDVD, for example, with AnyDVD enabled also works

Futureproof, I only have ATI DVD player and I suspected that playing DVD with it would also make it work but it didn't. The only way was method I describe above. Maybe future updates may fix this and be more automatic. Maybe it is because the DVD I tried had DVD-ROM content that wants to install instead of playing DVD right away.

I will try a few more DVDs just to make sure it works for all but I suspect it will not be a problem. On my setup, CloneDVD does not seem to take any longer directly from DVD than from a ripped-to-HDD source.

If you have XP then Enable "Turn off Autoplay" in Start > Run > gpedit.msc

User Configuration/Administrative Templates/System/Turn off Autoplay > Enable

Ok, I tried a couple more DVDs in my collection and they work automatically (I don't have to right-click on tooltray and press OK).

The "problem" DVD that wouldn't auto-decrypt was Tomb Raider NTSC.

Other DVD I have tried that work automatically are American Beauty and Trailer Park Boys 1st and 2nd seasons DVD#1.

I am transcoding Trailer Park Boys now to see how it turns out transcoded! The first DVD is only 6.18GB so maybe it will be fine, not sure about the other two in the set though.

Damn everyone always blames my drive

noticed however that over the last few days (firmware forum) the 8122 has been patched so there may be hope yet!

I passed the message on to my dad, he tried it and it still comes up with the same error, the Region is set to USA / Canada and it is a Region 1 version of 'Spy Game' this Drive has been tried out with plenty of other Region 2 DVDs in the past and DVD RegionFree.

Seems like I"m having trouble with the AnyDVD... Tried it with RCE enabled, using both CloneDVD & DVD2One and both resulting output files tell me they aren't for the region of my player (player is R1, origional disk is R1 also). Any ideas, or should I try to disable RCE(I never work with anything other than R1 disks anyway)...

Disable the "Feature Removal" options unless actually needed.
