AnyDVD 6.3.0.9 Problem. Help!!

Well, after AnyDVD working for me perfectly for a couple of months.. now I have a problem. On several movies I am trying to copy, it will not even recognize that the DVD is in my drive. It works on some movies.. for instance, it worked on Death Sentence but not on 3:10 to Yuma or Good Luck Chuck. I really don't understand what's going on. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it.. restarted my computer.. run my virus protection program, and spyware program, and no change. My computer is less than a year old, and I have the Vista operating system. Why is AnyDVD not recognizing the dvd in the drive? I'm confused!!

Re: AnyDVD 6.3.0.9 Problem. Help!!

It didn't work this is really confusing me. I don't think it could be my driver because it works on some DVDs and not on others... It isn't the discs because they play everywhere else. My computer isn't even detecting the dvds in the driver, which in turn means that AnyDVD isn't detecting anything. I don't know what to do! I'm frustrated

Couple of questions. 1. Does the drive play the dvds ok? 2. Are you able to view the contents of the dvd in 'computer'?

No.. the drive sounds like it's working hard to read it, but nothing. Nothing shows up in "My Computer" either. But like I said, it plays some dvds just fine. It's just certain ones it won't play. This discs are brand new, and unscratched/damaged, and they play fine everywhere else, just not in this drive. Help

What drive do you have and its firmware? Also only use beta as a test program and don't use it as the final version. Did you or do you still have 6.3.0.3 if you do uninstall the beta version and install the release from slysoft and see if that program detects or sees the drive and media. Even if you can decrypt with 6.3.0.3 at least we well know what if any problem shows up.

Re: AnyDVD 6.3.0.9 Problem. Help!!

It Sounds to me like driver conflict. Maybe try uninstalling the dvd driver in the device manager. Vista should automatically reinstall the driver (might have to restart the system). See if that does it. If windows is not seeing the drive at all I kind of doubt it is a anydvd problem. If that doesn't work, uninstall anydvd, restart, then see if the device shows up in My Computer, if it shows up, I would assume it was a anydvd conflict, however, if you have been using anydvd for a long time then I doubt that is the problem. Also, try to think if there is anything else that you might have installed that would be causing driver conflicts. There is also the possibility that you have a bad drive. Let us know if you figure out the problem.
