What does "preliminary support" mean?

Pretty much how I see it.
In this context "something done before something else, often by way of introduction to - or preparation for something of greater size & importance".

I am a registered anydvd user. When I download and install the new version, it tells me my trial period has expired. I have tried loading my key again, to no avail. Any thoughts?

Me too. That is why I am here.

I could load a previous version and be done with it.
But would really like to load the updates.
Computer keeps reminding me each time anyway.
So, downloaded 6.04.5 and now it says trial expired.
Tried uninstall and reinstall and re-running the key - no work.
By the way - all previous downloads and updates worked perfectly
never got this message, have updated at least two or three times.

uninstall it, reboot, reinstall it, reboot, apply your key. If it is a valid key but it still won't take, you will probably need to contact Slysoft support for assistance on registration issues.

So is that the correct way to resolve this new version problem or is it a matter of there being a glick in the current version and we should wait a while to get fixed version from Slysoft?

It's just some people I had no problems nor did I have to reboot.

Well, I unistalled and went back to version 6.03 and it works fine.
I will avoid updates unless some specific news comes along that this is an identified and resolved issue.

The funny thing is that I chatted with a user on another forum that unfortunately purchased anydvd on ebay. I seen the posting on ebay by searching on anydvd and this person is guarenteeing it'll work ect.... Funny thing is there was about 3 or 4 people using it in the family already. I guess it's a good deal considering when it's blacklisted then the ebayer can use his or her profits for a new key and do it all over again. LOL Maybe this guy did the same bought it off of ebay too?

All non working keys should be sent to Slysoft, so that they can be analysed and send you new working keys in return

No problems with the install for myself. I was promted to reboot. All went OK.
