Which DVD title do you want to copy? (Title, Region, Country)
Which AnyDVD version works, which one does not?

Hey Slysoft,

I sent you the IFOs for this new movie, THE CAVE, by Sony. it seems that your program can tell it has structure protection (mangled badly), but cant tell if its an ARccOS disc. It has to be ARccOS, its a Sony movie. FYI.

AnyDVD 5.6.X.X works fine. There was another person with the same problem. He changed back to a 5.6.X.X has removed the problem. You can try to copy any title and the same problem.

I tried many dvds with AnyDVD 5.7 and Shrink without problems. So please, would you be so kind to answer my question?
Which DVD title(s) did you try to copy? (Title, Region, Country)

I think you are missing the problem here. Its not the DVD its the compatibility with NERO.
The DVD was The Perfect Man. 1 USA

in order to fix the problem he needs to be able to replicate it first, and I'm sure nero 7 users would appreciate it if you were cooperative so those over at slysoft can try to come up with a fix for everyone!

Re: AnyDVD 5.7.2.1 and Nero Ultra 7 problems

Hi
Tale Gunner I believe all @ slysoft are capable of understanding the feeling that there is a problem with compatability. It just makes things easier to have both parts of the equation. The problems that you & others are experiencing at present do not happen to me. I've tried simulating things here, but no joy. FYI I'm in the UK. So all my discs are region 2 (UK). Which may explain why things are OK my end.

Hi
Yes I use AnyDVD/ CloneDVD most of the time. But I also use Nero 7 a fair bit. I have on my pc DVD Decryptor/ DVD Shrink etc which I only use when trying to simulate problems experienced by other users. I'm either very fortunate or just lucky to here in jolly old blighty, but I'm getting none of the problems others like yourself appear to have.

Re: AnyDVD 5.7.2.1 and Nero Ultra 7 problems

that's interesting that zeb can't replicate it with nero7 (although the region differences might be the key)

@Tale Gunner: you don't have anything installed that has known issues with anydvd do you? no dvd43 or packet writing software (Nero InCD, sonic DLA, etc, etc)

you've probably already checked for that stuff, and it's probably not the issue, butit can't hurt to double check so everyone's on the same page!

Different editions (region/country/widescreen/fullscreen) have different mastering and different copy protections. It is important to exactly specify which disc is causing the problem. Best thing to get a fast solution is to send the .ifo files zipped to support(at)slysoft.com.
Before copying the .ifo files AnyDVD must be switched off, otherwise we can't see the unmodified structures.

Re: AnyDVD 5.7.2.1 and Nero Ultra 7 problems

I am the person mentioned by TaleGunner who is encounting the same issues. It occurred on my system using Nero 6 along with AnyDVD 5.7.2.1. It occurred while trying to rip Cinderella Man and Brothers Grimm. USA Region1. FYI AnyDVD 5.6.3.1 runs great.

AFAIK Brothers Grimm US is RipGuard protected. Could you please post the contents of the AnyDVD information windows of both titles? (Right click "select all", right click "copy" to copy it)
Maybe RipGuard is the common factor? Thank you!

James,
You are the man around here, but many newish posters can't figure out how send you the .ifo files from a brief summary like you provide. You speak from a broader base of experience. Maybe if you provided this link to this posting (or create a similar text with wording that you prefer), every time you ask for .ifo's, you would be helping newbies and get faster info yourself.

Okay, Brothers Grimm made me suspicious - maybe this problem is RipGuard specific? I just tried Madagascar (US, Widescreen) which is RipGuard protected as well. Voila - I can see the problem with Nero Recode!
So don't worry, we will fix it. It seems that the change we have made for DVDDecrypter causes Nero Recode to stop working when used together with RipGuard protected titles. We will investigate this.
You don't need to send any .ifo files, I believe we can work it out using our copy of Madagascar. It is easy to fix a problem if we can reproduce it.
Thank you for your support!

Re: AnyDVD 5.7.2.1 and Nero Ultra 7 problems

Please try

http://sandbox.slysoft.com/SetupAnyDVD5731.exe

5.7.3.1, 2006 01 02

- Important: When installing this version over an existing
installation, you must reboot your machine. Otherwise the changes
made in the AnyDVD device driver will not have any effect!
- New: Added skipping of error zones between title sets.
This allows to make 1:1 backups with CloneCD or DVDDecrypter of
newer Arccos protected titles.
- Change: Removed replacement of error zones with "valid material",
as it had undesired side effects with Nero Recode and RipGuard
protected DVDs. So the "Pack Header Error" warnings in DVDDecrypter
are back again. But don't worry, when using AnyDVD it is safe to
ignore "Pack Header Error" warnings in DVDDecrypter.
- Added/Updated languages
