AnyDVD 5.7.2.1.

Hi
folks @ slysoft been busy.

http://static.slysoft.com/SetupAnyDVD.exe

5.7.2.1, 2006 01 01

- Happy new year from SlySoft!
- Important: When installing this version over an existing
installation, you must reboot your machine. Otherwise the changes
made in the AnyDVD device driver will not have any effect!
- New: Improved the function remove unreferenced VOBUs. This fixes
problems with some titles, e.g. "Unstoppable" R2 (German).
- New: Error zones on RipGuard/Arccos/PuppetLock protected titles are
now replaced with "valid material". 3rd party tools like DVDDecrypter
will now work better (no more "Pack Header Error" messages).
- New: Better support of elby CloneDVD2 when copying Arccos or
RipGuard protected titles without Menus:
Eliminates "hang" on standalone DVD Player and Audio "out of sync"
problems.

The update is free for all registered customers, of course.
Just install the new version on top of your current version,
regardless which version you have installed:

Yes. 5.7.1.1 had an additional language file (Portuguese brazil) which was not mentioned in the changelog. But this file was corrupted, so it was removed from 5.7.2.1

I echo that, I have never spent a better 29.00 on a piece of software in my life. And the 39.00 I spent for Clone2 was just as good. I did'nt buy the package but I think these two programs are the best of the best. I bought them separately and now that my son is into music I am going to buy the Clone CD program too.

I downloaded twice and rebooted twice, and I still have my old version displaying. I did notice that several of the files could not be accessed during set up process, and I had to press ignore three times. Any ideas?

Maybe uninstalling the program (keeping registration info), rebooting and installing the new version could help...

If you have CloneDVD2 open this will happen as well - make sure that you close down all other programs and try again.

AnyDVD 5.7.2.1 creates an error when used with Nero Ultra 7. Address is out of bounds VOBU invalid DVD navigation structure.

Texas501,
abrown15 almost got it right. Except it is AnyDVD you are updating not CloneDVD. So "Exit" (close) AnyDVD when you are running the AnyDVD setup program and shut off antivirus, firewall, spyware etc. too. Most people don't have a problem running an update's setup installation if AnyDVD is running, but it has been docucumented that due to some people's systems or the configuration of their systems you must exit AnyDVD to run setup. If you simply "press ignore three times", that is not a solution that will help you overcome your update installation problem. AND you MUST reboot after running setup and before trying to use AnyDVD.

You also might want to download yet another fresh set up for 5.7.2.1 from slysoft just to be sure you've got an uncorrupted download. Delete the setup you have already downloaded first rather than just overwrite it upon download to your desktop or where-ever you download your setup zips.

If you still get an error message that "several of the files could not be accessed during set up process", then you will have to uninstall AnyDVD, via it's own proprietary "uninstall" routine, by going to "Start/Programs/Slysoft/AnyDVD/Uninstall (i.e. don't use Windows "Add/Remove Programs"). Be sure you have saved your key safely to diskette or CD before you uninstall. Then reinstall a fresh 5.7.2.1 setup.

Best regards,
Whisperer

That is a different issue from Texas501's issue. You might want to create your own thread (and be more descriptive of your problem) rather than hope someone will spot your off-topic post on this thread.

Nope - I did mean CloneDVD2 - when I was updating AnyDVD yesterday I had left CloneDVD2 open - the AnyDVD installation file said it could not access some of the files. It gives you the option to ignore, cancel or retry. I closed down CloneDVD2 and clicked retry - and lo and behold AnyDVD installed flawlessly!!

Oh ya, Abrown15, you were definitely not wrong to tell Texas501:

You always give good advice. It's just that I don't know Texas501's level of expertise and many people think that just because a program's interface is not showing on the screen, that the program is not running. I.E. I wanted to be sure that Texas501 actually went to his system tray and right-clicked "Exit" on the AnyDVD red fox icon and other stuff running there too. Any and every setup should be run with no other programs running, either on screen or in system tray, other than just pure Windows OS System programs.

Best regards,
Whisperer

I am receiving the same message using Nero Recode 6 with the updated AnyDVD 5.7.2.1. Worked fine using previous version of AnyDVD.
"A VOBU Address is out of bounds. This may be caused by an invalid DVD Navigation structure."

Any help on this one?

Hi
Tale Gunner & princetyr. I personally have had any such problems yet. Suggest (like Whisperer1 & reasonsnotrules)you start a new thread, title something like AnyDVD/Nero 7 conflict?
