| AnyDVD 5.7.2.1. Hi folks @ slysoft been busy. http://static.slysoft.com/SetupAnyDVD.exe 5.7.2.1, 2006 01 01 - Happy new year from SlySoft! - Important: When installing this version over an existing installation, you must reboot your machine. Otherwise the changes made in the AnyDVD device driver will not have any effect! - New: Improved the function remove unreferenced VOBUs. This fixes problems with some titles, e.g. "Unstoppable" R2 (German). - New: Error zones on RipGuard/Arccos/PuppetLock protected titles are now replaced with "valid material". 3rd party tools like DVDDecrypter will now work better (no more "Pack Header Error" messages). - New: Better support of elby CloneDVD2 when copying Arccos or RipGuard protected titles without Menus: Eliminates "hang" on standalone DVD Player and Audio "out of sync" problems. The update is free for all registered customers, of course. Just install the new version on top of your current version, regardless which version you have installed: http://www.slysoft.com/download.html |

I downloaded twice and rebooted twice, and I still have my old version displaying. I did notice that several of the files could not be accessed during set up process, and I had to press ignore three times. Any ideas?

abrown15 almost got it right. Except it is AnyDVD you are updating not CloneDVD. So "Exit" (close) AnyDVD when you are running the AnyDVD setup program and shut off antivirus, firewall, spyware etc. too. Most people don't have a problem running an update's setup installation if AnyDVD is running, but it has been docucumented that due to some people's systems or the configuration of their systems you must exit AnyDVD to run setup. If you simply "press ignore three times", that is not a solution that will help you overcome your update installation problem. AND you MUST reboot after running setup and before trying to use AnyDVD. You also might want to download yet another fresh set up for 5.7.2.1 from slysoft just to be sure you've got an uncorrupted download. Delete the setup you have already downloaded first rather than just overwrite it upon download to your desktop or where-ever you download your setup zips. If you still get an error message that "several of the files could not be accessed during set up process", then you will have to uninstall AnyDVD, via it's own proprietary "uninstall" routine, by going to "Start/Programs/Slysoft/AnyDVD/Uninstall (i.e. don't use Windows "Add/Remove Programs"). Be sure you have saved your key safely to diskette or CD before you uninstall. Then reinstall a fresh 5.7.2.1 setup. Best regards, Whisperer Last edited by Whisperer1; 02-01-2006 at 21:03.

| Re: AnyDVD 5.7.2.1. Nope - I did mean CloneDVD2 - when I was updating AnyDVD yesterday I had left CloneDVD2 open - the AnyDVD installation file said it could not access some of the files. It gives you the option to ignore, cancel or retry. I closed down CloneDVD2 and clicked retry - and lo and behold AnyDVD installed flawlessly!! |

"A VOBU Address is out of bounds. This may be caused by an invalid DVD Navigation structure." Any help on this one?
