AnyDVD 1.5.2.1 didn't like my machine

Has anyone else had problems with the latest AnyDVD?

After installing my machine (Win XP Sp1 Eng) just reboots when, what i presume, it is loading the anydvd driver. It happens before the GUI is loaded.

After having booted from a rescue disc and deleted anydvd the system starts and the elbycheck program complains and, what i presume, cleans the system from registry values regarding anydvd.

I'm not blaming AnyDVD alone since my machine is quite filled with other programs but it was a nasty surprise.

Regards,
Paddy

I have a problem with Copy2DVD after I´ve installed the latest Version of AnyDVD.
When it comes to finalizing a DVD I get a BSOD, just got 2 coasters.

Sonic/Veritas RecordNow

After some more investigating it seems that Sonic/Veritas RecordNow with its "PXEngine" is what clashed on my machine with the latest AnyDVD.

Well, back to 1.4..x.x that worked like a charm for me. Once again teaches you not to upgrade unless necessary
