I believe it only has 3 stars because 1) the review is old 2) because it does not burn, just decrypts, a 2nd piece of software is needed to burn. However, it is pretty much the best at what it does and combined with CloneDVD2, the fastest and easiest.

Should I bother getting the Clone Software, DVD shrink seems like it is making dark dvd copies or parts of the movie get dark.

Re: Any DVD Free Trial Download

I just bought Memerex 16X disks DV+R 2 hour (we usually use these), but if we have a movie like Lord of Rings over 2 hours it still fits (gets compressed I guess and loses quality). Well I was just in Office Depot today and saw Memerex DVR L *240 Minute Dual Format and I have a dual format Sony DVD burner, but a Kenwood Progressive Scan DVD Player in the living room, because these DVR L have 2 sides, will they burn longer movies or will they burn in better XP Mode instead of SP???

I hope you see this before you run out and buy it......STAY AWAY FROM MEMOREX!!!!!!!!!!!!! No I'm not yelling just extremely getting your attention on this media. Get Verbatim's 14.99 USD @ Best Buy or get some TY's Discs thay are the best for quality.

Re: Any DVD Free Trial Download

Hi
I purchased AnyDVD and CloneDVD from Slysoft about one month ago. I followed instructions to install the trial (download) version and then installed the registration keys. Since then, AnyDVD has updated twice and I have reinstalled the new version as instructed over the top of the existing install.

Now, I get error messages for both programs saying that my 'trial period has elapsed'. I have written Slysoft but have got no answer. It was my understanding from reading the website that Slysoft provided support and lifetime updates and stated that the licence was not time limited. Even if it was time limited, one month is a bit rich, eh?

Given the deathly silence from Slysoft, anyone here know why this has happened or what to do about it?

Regards
Dixie

Welcome to CDFreaks

there should be an email sent to the address you gave them when you bought it, this email should also have the key in an attachment, and also a download link (valid for so many days), you could check your mail clients spam folder to see if it's there.
when you get your key, remember to burn it to disc or store on a floppy etc.

if you still don't have it, please send another email to slysoft.

ps, they are a really good company for support, sometimes they get it wrong, but not often

Your popup blocker is too aggressive. Either disable it before it opens the new window, then re-enable it, or hold down the blocker's temporary-off key.
