Asus / Pioneer Burner Discuss, pioneer104 firmware at CD and DVD Burners forum; hi im using a pioneer 104 with record now max i recently noticed that there was f/w out now that you could write 1x discs at 2x so i downloaded it but it still only writes 1x can any1 tell me why i used f/w v1.40 (RPC-

hi im using a pioneer 104 with record now max

i used f/w v1.40 (RPC-1 + 2x for all) and data write
yellow tops1x any help would be greatful as i have
over 100 discs thanx

Are you sure that you flashed with the right version? I bet that you flashed with either the Region free version or the one that only enables 2x on Ritek disks. This is the one that you want.

The hacked version will not enable 2x for other 1x discs than Riteks either (it will burn other 1x media at 2x, but it will cause nothing but coasters)

i was nt to sure the f/w would have worked either but somebody told me that they were using them discs and that f/w and they were writin 2x but i cant rememeber what site i seen them on to ask them how. maybe it wont work did any1 get it to work successfully

The disks probably wouldn't turn out well at 2x anyways...
