| Re: Pioneer AO9 firmware 1.50 Flawed chef! I had to make my 109 the master to get it out of pio mode. Tried every trick in the book. It is UMDA 4 at this time and works ok with 1.40 fw and an April 05 manufacture date. It could not flash with the factory software from the official pio site. I get an insert disk/remove disk endless loop. So I e-mailed pio about this to see if there is a fix. So at this point in time my only possible flash option may be a hacked FW. But I wonder if that will work. This weekend I may take the leap of faith and see what happens.

| Re: Pioneer AO9 firmware 1.50 Flawed OK! I did the dvr update with the same kernal in both boxes.(factory pio update did not work at all) Directions were very skimpy(that is being kind). It is now a speed demon with 109 140 FW from the A09 file at the links that were given on this forum. So far it works. See transfer rate below! Now should I flash to 150 A09 or leave it the f### alone? PS/ my 3530 is slow now that it is a slave. Bad! I guess I need a PCI card or a SATA to IDE adapter!

| Re: Pioneer AO9 firmware 1.50 Flawed chef! I only have one channel. You get what you pay for! I got a cheap fast 8400. Lots of SATA channels and one PCI slot left. Maybe! It might be an express slot, but I think they go both ways!

| Re: Pioneer AO9 firmware 1.50 Flawed chef! Those are the fastest read times I have seen for an original video DVD DL. It beats the Plextor on speed read of factory stamped DL. If the quality of the recorded disks is as good as the Plex then this 109/A09 is the king of the hill hands down. Here is the link to the other read DL scans! http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread....7&page=9&pp=25
