Pioneer 106s or 120s?

Greetings. The Pioneer 106s is hard to find right now. I have an extra one on the way in case my current one dies. I really like the fact that this drive can rip at a decent speed.

The Pioneer 120s is replacing the 106s. Does anyone know if the 120s is locked @ 2x or has any other issues with ripping discs? I really like the 106s but am curious about the 120 series and if it has ripping limitations since it's a much newer model...

Thanks

The 120s is a lot better from 106s.
It can read every dvd format (except dvd-ram) and can rip a movie from aprox. 5x up to 12x

DVD+/-RW read speed is 4x to 10x !!

You can use it to copy onthefly your dvd-r's in 4x

In addition it can make high speed DAE up to 40x and can handle very well scratched audio cd's with EAC.

Also it doesn't make much noise.

In overall it's a very good drive

É've searched a lot and I can't find such a firmware for pioneer 120s. There are such firmwares for other drives, but not for pioneer.

This is a region free firmware patch. It doesn't unlock the ripping speed.
