According to this Pioneer link the drive supports DVDRAM. According to this dealer A/B/C stands for Beige/Black/Silver.

Re: MediaCodeSpeedEdit support for Pioneer DVD-Writers

Is a fact that this fw can't be used/hacked for the 110D?
Or nobody has tested yet?

Hi
Pioneer A10XL is the same drive as 110. Just a facelift & honeycomb case.
The f/w in Kenshin's link works.
Also f/w from tdb .

The Pioneer DVR-A10XL has the Firmware Name of "PIO_ADV" as previous XL models. The Pioneer DVR-110 has the Firmware Name "GENERAL", which leads me to suspect that the XL variant has also added QuietDrive support.

Hi
OK I was too brief,
Has foam soundproofing & makes use of QuietDrive (crossflashing gives access to this).

Re: MediaCodeSpeedEdit support for Pioneer DVD-Writers

hmm interesting, we tested unlocking 4x for media but were unsuccessful, but yours shows it is possible, pioneer firmware acts very strangely for some media, especially ritek, will change the ritek G04 to the sony id and see what it says, thanks for the info

Interesting. Could you post the complete hexdump of the media code block ? DVDIdentifier can display more than just 0x60 bytes.

Re: MediaCodeSpeedEdit support for Pioneer DVD-Writers

I wanted to know how can I set the riplock patch option to an unofficial (v1.58 rpc1) 109's firmware.

Sorry for this question but I am new with MCSE.

Welcome
Follow the instructions from the usage section in the first post. In step 4, click on the read speed checkbox in the lower right part of the window.

Can mediacodespeededit only be used for official firmware, I've used the synthed 1.22 firmware on my 110D because I needed bitsetting, but my cmc mag e01's will only write at 6x

no MCSE works with the modified firmware too, what did you change the cmc too? by the way 6x max is not an option
