Asus / Pioneer Burner Discuss, confused pioneer 108/109 at CD and DVD Burners forum; im new on this thing so pardon me if i make a few mistakes posting i have a pioneer 108 and a 109 in 2 separate computers ... and i have upgraded the firmware on both ...my problem is that b4 i could burn up to 8x before and now after

confused pioneer 108/109

im new on this thing so pardon me if i make a few mistakes posting

i have a pioneer 108 and a 109 in 2 separate computers ... and i have upgraded the firmware on both ...my problem is that b4 i could burn up to 8x before and now after upgrading i cannot make copies faster than 4x ...
any idea whats wrong??? i use nero to burn the copies
as well my 108 sometimes doesnt recognize that there id a dvd in it ????

Has your drives reverted back to PIO, check the ide controllers in device manager.

Started with burning capable optical drives (CD-R) in 1997.
Bought optical drives from AOpen, HP, LiteOn, NEC, Philips, Pioneer, Plextor, Ricoh, Samsung, Sanyo, Toshiba and Yamaha.

Enable DMA with micrAp$0ft Enable DMA free at your will busTRACE => Upper/Lower Filters Util

Yeah, it always works (except for IAA).
