With the latest firmware (1.10) the 107D will now overburn to 99 mins (obviously with 99min CD-R)

Just bought the 107D (April 2004, fw 1.13).
I tried to write 755mb on a 800mb (90min) Intenso CD and it failed at about 705mb. (DAO96)

The CD seems readable, but when I try to run a file that was on >705mb area, it simply wont read it.

I'll try now @16x, I hope it will work

Has anyone successfully overburnt a cd? How? How many mb?

It failed writing 711mb @ 16x NOOOOO

My Teac could always write up to 714mb at 700mb cds.
Thats stupid... and LAME!
"DOES SUPPORT writing at 99min cds" my a**.

All other reviews said reading of 99min cds is possible but overburning is NOT. Why did I believe this review and not the others?

Is there any hacked firmware that might enable overburning?

Re: cd overburning on 107

Yesterday I wrote successfully 81 minutes on my A07U.

700MB CD-R TDK Metallic
Nero 5.5.10.56 (DAO96)
speed 16x

EDIT:
Error messages appeared at the end of burning, but CD is readable from beginning to the very end.
I notice error message appear probably always when overburning, but it doesn't affect readability.

There is not. Did you try a lower speed?
