| can't flash stock 1.29 firmware i am currently at 1.23 stock firmware for 111d. i just downloaded stock 1.29 firmware and when i try to install it i get a message saying that, "the firmware of target drive is not correct F/W, this firmware is not supported by this program" and so it will not install it. i don't know if i am missing something or if i can go from 1.23 to 1.29? |

| Re: can't flash stock 1.29 firmware I have no idea why you can't flash 1.23 stock to 1.29 stock. (Are you trying to flash a 111D to a 111 ?) However there is a way around this ... If you look here http://tdb.rpc1.org/#DVR111D you can find a 1.06 firmware with kernel - * marked firmwares are TDB Flasher w/Kernel - once flashed with that your drive can be flashed with the 1.29 from the same site.

| Re: can't flash stock 1.29 firmware Yep, you are trying to crossflash using offical updates - this cannot work.

| Re: can't flash stock 1.29 firmware sorry for sounding stupid but i thought if I stayed with stock firmware I could update to a newer version like 1.29. is 1.29 not intended for a 111d? i thought crossflashing meant you were re-labeling your drive to a slightly different model? but it appears that the 1.23 firmware and the 1.29 are both stock for a 111d? ![]() |

| Re: can't flash stock 1.29 firmware ok thanks for help, i went to tdb's site and downloaded the 1.29 software from them. it installed with no problem. i am not sure what the difference is, but obviously the t.d.b. file is not as picky as the pioneer file. |
