Can't burn CDs on PIONEER DVR-111D - Club CDFreaks

Hi all!
My Pioneer drive can't burn CDs (I haven't tried DVDs yet, but I assume the problem is beyond that). This is something new, It was working a couple of weeks ago. I can, however, read CDs and play DVDs as I've recently tested.

You're using quite old version of nero 7, this may be buggy. try something newer or another burning software.

Are you using 80 wire IDE ribbon? My 111D worked initially with 40 wire ribbon but stop for no apparent reason, and switching to 80 wire ribbon fixed it.

I'll try to upgrade Nero, but also ACDSee embedded burner seems to fail, so maybe is the drive not the software.

I have not physically installed the drive, but I think is an 80-wire ribbon, as suggested by Pioneer.

I'm having a similar problem with my DVR-111, only mine hasn't worked since I installed it. It's using an 80 wire cable and running the latest firmware from the manufacturer. Can anyone help?

I have not physically installed the drive, but I think is an 80-wire ribbon, as suggested by Pioneer.
