Burn speed problems

Greetings,

I have a Pioneer DVR-107D DVD burner. I recently got a PC upgrade. I ghosted old PC hard drive and imaged hard drive on new pc. I did a repair of Windows 2000 so Windows would recognize new hardware. Now when I burn with either Nero or Easy CD 7.5 DVDs burn at 1.5x, even tho 8x is selected. Im using TY media and DMA is enabled in BIOS and Windows. I uninstalled and reinstalled Easy CD 7.5 and still same result.

My specs are as follows:
Win 2000 SP4 with latest greatest updates
Intel D915PGN mobo
512 Kingston 333 RAM
Pioneer DVR107D

I never had any burning issues till I got on this new PC.

Re: Burn speed problems

DMA is surely not on.

Delete both IDE channels and reboot.

Re: Burn speed problems

Your entitled to your opinion, but as its 2006 and its life is near over peeps would be on Win XP-SP2 or Win 2003SP1 for security, i know 2000 has service packs but its still crap IMO

Its easy to make XP as plain and ugly as 2000 if need be and XP is a far newer build of NT and upgraded NTFS.

Anyhow off topic so im out.
