You don't have to read Japanese to be able to skip down to the bottom and see the download link. Hover your mouse over the filename it points to, and if you ever see 858 (or higher) at the end of it, then your magic day has come. Right now it shows 857 (8.57).

Obviously Buffalo have abandoned this drive as we haven't seen an updated firmware for some time....I really hate my A09 burner....compared with my Benq 1640, LG 4163, etc. sigh
