i purchased a pack of dvd+r by mistake as my dvd player refuses to play dvd+r

anyway to cut the story short i decided to flash my 111d with bufallo 8.29 to enable auto bitsetting to see if that helped..
every time i try and run 1 of the firsmwares (1.06* 8.19* 8.29) i gett BSOD

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
stop 0x000000D1
ATAPI.SYS (start F83DD870 end F83D6000)

it is the only time i ever had a bsod and it only happens when i try a firmware of any kind..
so is there a way of troubleshooting the driver or a third party bitsetting tool that supports pioneer burners..ty in advance

Re: Bsod

Your system seems to have more than 1 issue.

Try under Linux.

Re: Bsod

@ the_hetster,

Your problem has nothing to do with Pioneer/Buffalo Firmware Flashers or your Pioneer DVR-111D DVD Burner. As Forum Member _chef_ states your problem lies with your Operating System software and/or Hardware Configuration.

Regards,
bjkg

Re: Bsod

i know its not the pioneer..
was wondering if any knew off top of their head where the problematic driver might be..or of any software that can spot driver conflicts etc..

anyway strange thing is i burn 12 of those dvd+r and everyone failed at 7%..so i borrowed a dvd-r to see if that burnt and it did..then after that every dvd+r has burnt with good scan results lol..looks like it needed a successful burn to carry on being successful

So the media is not good enough...

The info about the error were given to you within the BSOD. Just visit m$ support sites and search for solutions using that info.
