Broken 109?

Guys,
I bought a dec.2004 DVR109 which is now almost 1 year old (mid Feb). It does the same things a few reported, with variants:
-random stalls at lead-in
-random stalls at speed shifts (ZCLV), normally it takes 30s between each zone
-hard stall (requires reboot) at lead-out on CAV media; no coaster this time.
It happens at least on 1 in 5 discs (BenQ/Maxell/Memorex media).
Is it a case for an RMA? I suspect so as I never wasted media with my good ol' LG4081B.
I've got to say that I'm not impressed by PIO this time, everbody loved the 108 but the poor media support (a lot of 16x media takes almost 8min thanks to ZCLV) sucks. Even the 110 has better support!
Thanks for reading that far

Re: Broken 109?

Cleaning the drive could help here.

Also, test the drive in another computer...
