I'm guessing it's okay, but not preferred...compare the BenQ-BenQ scan to the Asus scan in the post above yours. This might be one of the main drives that, if you scan, you can only compare burns of the same MID, and only from this drive. But the drive isn't by itself, as the LiteOn-BenQ drive seems to show major issues with the burns.

At least the drive has semi-proper scanning, since the Optiarc failed with an error during one of the TRTs where it looked rather rough.

I'd found that some problems if doing QS on Mediatek Chips Drives. If I find the results of TRT don't match the QS result, I'll scan the Disc on other Drives(like Philips chips or Sanyo chips Drives).

sorry off topic again:

yeah it's just that i see people using Sammy's.......now Asus. I guess until some "superior being" says use this or that drive "only" then no one has any fun

Carry on 2601 and thank you for the scans

You have to admit, some of these drive produce BEAUTIFUL colors when they scan. They also make very funky looking spike patterns.

[And we now return you to 2601's pre-review of the 2014L1T. Thank you for this, BTW. ]

I thought the LiteOn LH-20A1x series marked the end of even trying to have a standard?

Yeah...it looks like it's a case of "If your drive has a MTK chipset, and can scan--report proper C1/C2/PIE/PIF--then scan away!". You can definitely see me turning to TRTs these days, especially since my SOHW-1693S is proving to be finicky at 16x.
