NEC ND-1100A & NEC ND-3520A DVD+R Burns differ, Help Firmware

I owned a Nec ND-1100A (OEM Dell-Firmware 10 GE) for about 2 years now & have been burning DVD movies & games on DVD+R that were fully compatible with my XBOX.

I bought a ND-3520A OEM through Newegg.com about a week ago, took out the ND-1100A and replaced it with the new burner. I burned a 2 DVD videos on +R's and they didn't work in my xbox. I must add that I tried them on my standalone player and my PC and they worked perfect.
I then removed the ND-3250 & tried the ND-1100A with the same type of DVD+R from the same pack I tried before, and it played on my Xbox with no Problem.

These were burnt from the same Image i saved in my computer and i checked the burnt dvd with DVDinfo pro, which said that both of the Booktype was DVD-ROM.

I updated to the latest firmware 3.04, for the ND-3520A & also gave liggy & dee's hacked firmware with no luck. Could another hacked firmware help this?

same situation here, except i added the 3520 so now i have that and the 1100. check your IDE cable, dell cheaped out and used 40 wire cable on my box. you could have same problem.

So what do you think will be the solution? What type of cable?

I guess it's caused by your old burner setting the booktype on DVD+R discs to DVD-ROM. That's something the 3520 does not do with its original firmware. You could either use an OEM firmware from MadDog or IO Data or have a look at Dee's modified firmwares which also allow changing the booktype on DVD+R discs.

Seems you forgot to change the Booktypesetting to "-ROM". Only flashing the Firmware is not enough - you need to set the Booktype with a tool like Binflash or the Decypter can do it also.
