| ND-3500AG: possible to set (OS independent) default CD and DVD speed have a NEC ND-3500AG possible to set (OS independent) default CD and DVD speed to lowest possible (super quiet)? ....or also any desired speed for that matter example: say I want to boot computer with CD disk....drive defaults to 1x....instead blasting at full speed (waking the neighbours) much appreciated. |

I have seen this with an older Plextor CD drive, but everything now uses software and does not work with all drives. You could try Nero Drivespeed and see what happens. I have seen the settings hold on some drives.
