| Very long encoding time Hi Everybody, My computer has a Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80 GHz - 2.79 GHz , with 512 MB of ram. My OS is WinXP Pro Sp2. I used Nero Recode 2.5.6.0 , to encode a 4467 MB DVD title, into 2 _ 80 minute CD size titles of Nero Digital Cinema -AVC files with stereo sound. The DVD title was on my hard drive, and the Nero Digital target was another hard drive folder. And it took 4 hrs. and 38 minutes to complete the task . Which I believe took way too much time to complete. So I would like to ask if anyone has any suggestions , on how I could reduce the encoding time of DVD to Nero Digital encoding. | Re: Very long encoding time 512mb ram is not really much. You are trying to transcode mpeg2 to mpeg4 AVC which requires POWER. I can see no error in the log, but please remove the s/n.

| Re: Very long encoding time Chef is right you need more RAM! You would be good a 1 to 2GB of RAM if your system supports it!
