Pocket PC

Hi!

Is there a way I can encode movies and then play them back on my iPaq pocket PC?

I own Nero 6 btw.

Thanks,
Fairy

Re: Pocket PC

There's a Phillips player that's now been officially withdrawn that'll do the trick.

The only downside is, you can't maximise the screen on the PPC version which makes it useless for viewing full screen ports from Nero.
You will get to see a much reduced rendering of your recode though and I suppose it could keep you going until something better comes along.

Download from here (Under Phillips Mpeg4 Player)

Further info here

Why nothing's available to do this properly from Nero is beyond me.
The software has an output profile for PPC for godssakes!

Re: Pocket PC

There's a Nero Digital PocketPC player in the works. It works already and was demoed at IBC2004, but it's not quite ready yet for release.

Re: Pocket PC

Does this replay nero recode files (mp4) or its own format.
The demo doesn't actually install to pocket PC. it's a desktop pc app the depicts a pocket PC graphically which always makes me immediately suspect about an app.

Can you advise on your experience with the product?

Thanks.

No, sorry, I have not tried it myself, though being a Pocket PC fan for years with lots of software.

Probe, Has there been any progress or an ETA on the Nero Digital PocketPC player? Sounds awesome! The simple encoding process from DVD-VR to MP4 looks smooooooth. Just can't play on Pocket PC. Investigated many other legal alternatives to no avail...

Re: Pocket PC

I have been trying NeroShowTime but it's video playback needs some work. Sooooo I am using TCPMP instead with an old MP4 plug in and it works nice

Re: Pocket PC

Hi the program you are looking for is called dvd to pocket pc I've used it to convert and play films on my XDA2, it takes a while but it's worth it, especially when you came watch a full length movie on the train or a part of it at lunch time. Hope this has helped cosmicray
