| Please help. I'm at wits end Been coming here for years but this is my first post because i have always been able to use these posts to solve problems. I'm having problems burning dvds. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I found out some problems like the DMA was off and I fixed that. Nero is not working on the burn process. It doesn't matter if I recode and try to put it on single layer or if I copy at normal size and use dual layer. I have included the log file to see if anyone with knowledge in this matter can help. Thanks so much. I do notice that one area does say check supported media is disabled but do not know if this is causing the problem. This is trying all types of media whether it is verbatim or whatever. Code: Windows XP 5.1

| Re: Please help. I'm at wits end Thanks for the reply. I looked at the link you told me to. Are there programs out there that I can download for free that will take the place of nero? Also, does anyone know what the problem with nero can be since it has worked so many times before? Thanks. |

1. 8X burning might be to fast. 2. The latest firmware released is rather old, it might not 100% support the media code on your discs. 3. +R9 discs are tricky to write to For free programs you could try ImgBurn. | |

| Re: Please help. I'm at wits end Thanks for the reply. I have downloaded Imgburn and am trying to figure it out now. I guess I'll try to look in the help section of Img to figure it out. It doesn't seem as easy as nero but may be after i play around with it a little bit. |

| Re: Please help. I'm at wits end Use the build mode to 1) burn directly to your disc 2) create an ISO file for later burning on disc Select the folder that holds the VIDEO_TS files you want to process. The program will tell you if you do something wrong or forget some steps. I never liked to create .nrg files from Recode. It's a very slow creation process. So just output them in a VIDEO_TS map on your hard disk and then use ImgBurn to get them to your disc. Good Luck! ![]() |
