Re: Recode2 Out Of Memory?

Could somebody give me some help please I have installed the 4.60 ASPI layers. I have managed to backup my copy of Elf but after that I still keep getting the same message. Recode is telling me that I'm out of memory. I've backed up over 30 of my own movies with no problems at all. My computer crashed and had to do a fresh install of XP. After that I'm getting this error message and have no idea what the problem is. Would somebody please throw me a freaken bone here!

Re: Out Of Memory?

Nevermind. I guess nobody here knows anything about Nero Recode2. I've allready found an answer from another site that doesn't even deal with recode. You guys have been a fountain of knowledge. As Elvis once said "Thank You, Thank You Very Little"

Re: Out Of Memory?

Please refer to this thread: http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=125602

Your problem may have nothing to do with Nero Recode nor DVD Shrink, rather the protection on this dvd that you're trying to copy. Please read the associated threads.

Re: Out Of Memory?

I am having the same problem when using Nero Recode 2. I have use it successfully about 50 times. Now for some reason, I get the Out of Memory message. Also, I can burn using other software. Nero Recode 2 is giving me the problem during the Encoding process. There is no copy protection on this DVD.

Can anyone please explain why this problem suddenly appeared?

Re: Out Of Memory?

Umm NO!!! Yhe issue has NOTHING to do with protection!!
I have the SAME problem, and it is IN NERO!

I have been buring for YEARS, I use Nero Recode, Slyfox <-The BEST, and also DVDfab, (Excellent But Forever SLOW).
I started getting the error recently too. I have tried Nero 7 and 8, both with the same result!
I have tried reburning older movies that I had burned in the past and still SAME issue.
It appears on BOTH XP, and Vista64.
The only thing I recently changed was my memory size. I went from 2 to 4 gig DDR2, then from 4-6 Gigs.
The problem fixes itself when I remove my memory back down to 2 gigs. So for me it is NERO not being able to handle memory above 2 gigs, or maybe certain types of memory? I use Corsair XMS memory

So I am either forced to use DVDfab with no errors, or everytime I want to use NERO, I have to remove 4 gigs of my memory for it to work!!!!!!

Please if anyone out there knows how to fix the NERO Recode problem, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

Like I said after destroying about 30 blanks, my results were:

It affects BOTH XP, and VISTA
It Affects BOTH Nero 7 & 8
IT is NOT a protection issue since the files do decrypt to my HD, and
DVDfab is able to burn them.
More than likely it is a memory incompatability issue with NERO Recode ONLY, since it burns data perfectly, just not Movies?

Thanks

Re: Out Of Memory?

The last poster mentioned that his problems started after increasing memory. Well, guess what? I went from 2GB DDR2 to 4GB DDR2 and that is when my Nero Recode2 problems began. I didn't make the connection until I exhausted practically all possible causes. I removed the two additional memory sticks and voila - no more Out of Memory errors! Although I can burn sucessfully again, I want to find out why increasing the memory causes this problem.

There should really be no reason why I can't go to 4GB memory.

Maybe others who have experience this problem should review if they recently increased their memory.

Re: Out Of Memory?

Yup that sorta sucks! I really like Nero Recode for its speed, and simple usuage, Unfortuantly I have been using DVDfab since I did my memory upgrade.

I left E-mail for Nero support, and all they do is try and point the finger on other possible issues :-)

I WISH they would fix thier software! It is also irrating that the problem only rears its ugly head when burning DVD Movies, otherwise Nero works fine.

They Have to be aware of the issue, but like a lot of software moguls, act like it does not exist!!!

If anyone can come up with a fix please let us know!

Thanks!
