Nero Recode - 2 movies on 1 disc! - Club CDFreaks

I just found this nifty little feature tonight with Nero Recode. I use a combination of DVD Region Free 3.62 (CSS Copy Protection works with Recode 2), DVD Decrypter and Nero Recode 2. Well, I wanted to try putting 2 movies on 1 disc so here is what I did once I saw the option.

I decrypted the first movie to the hard drive with decrypter. Once that is done I put the second disc in my 451S so it could be read and left DVD Region Free take care of the copy protection on it. Next, Open up Nero Recode 2 and Remake the DVD. Once that is done Open the first DVD with the Import Title option and bring whichever one you want in first and drag out the main movie. Do the second one next (of course) off the DVD/hard drive and then click Next and start the process like normal! Works great! Get a bit extra compression but it's a neat future I wasn't aware of.

Interesting indeed !

You can also have 6 films of perfect quality on a single DVD by using DivX compression.
If you use the right codecs and the the right DivX program, the qualité will be better than with 2 films only with Nero Recode.

Bur maybe you already tried.

Jepp - but it will not be played in standalone dvd players (unless it support divx, and that is only a few that does).

If you do like Braxas says your dvd will be a standard dvd. Compare divx and dvd encoding is like comparing apples and oranges.

The first poster talked about mpeg-2 DVD transcoding and modifying it seems. You talk about mpeg-4 encoding. Recode also has mpeg-4 capability (NeroDigital).
About the DivX mpeg-4 quality which hardly is near perfect: Practically all people agree that XviD is much better than DivX. Now latest Recode 2.1 has catched XviD on quality. Read Doom9 regulars' comments about Recode 2.1's mpeg-4 quality:

i have found it is better to recode both movies to mpeg-4 2000mb, then use nerovision express to convert and burn to dvd, then you can make a cutom menu
