Nero Recode Discuss, nero 7.0 and making backup copy of dvd movies at Copy Movie forum; I have a hp dv2000z and keep getting errors when reading dvd movies. I am wondering if it is the dvd drive on the notebook. I have no trouble using nero on my desktop. DVD Drive is HL-DT-ST-DVDRAM GSA-4084N

nero 7.0 and making backup copy of dvd movies

Need some more info. What are the errors? What are you trying to do? Just play the discs or copy them to the harddrive? Is it all DVDs or certain ones?

What are you using to remove the copy protection? Nero & Recode DOES NOT remove it, therefore it will not copy it. If you are using something, is it up to date? It looks like Recode is choking on a file. There are some newer protections that a lot of older software can't handle. What's the discs title?

BTW, you may want to edit the top of your post and remove the line that starts with "1c82". That's your Nero serial #.
