dvd movies - Club CDFreaks

Hi

can this be done? can i rip some of the dvd movie's that i own to my hard drive then burn them to a dvd? i have Nero 8 ultra edition. if so how would i do this?

Nero (recode) can't handle copy protected discs so you'll need to rip your movies to your HDD with a nice ripper (http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm) and then compress them with Nero Recode and burn them to a SL disc. There are many guides available here and elsewhere on the interwebz that make this a breeze.

Single Layer, they run about $.30 each and recommended brands are Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. DL = Dual Layer, run around $1.50 - $3.00 each and Verbatim only for these.

tim37, a single layer SL disc is 4.7GB and a dual layer DL disc is 8.5GB in size.
