It is my intention to be able to take a movie off of a DVD and burn it to a single file, preferable in MP4 format. After scouring the best alternatives and the cheap encoders out there, it seems that Recode is the easiest way to get the highest quality MP4 with the least amount of mouse clicks. I've used DVDShrink for quite a while to reauthor the VOB files to my HD. That's worked quite well for as long as I've used it. I've been trying to use Nero Recode to open that source/Title folder and just convert to Nero Digital. I've used Nero 6 Ultra and Nero 7 Ultra, which ever version of recode comes with them, and every time I try to 'burn' the MP4, it just completely craps out and returns to the little Smart Start window. No log, no message, just crashing. It's been on both Nero Builds so I don't know what to do?!?!?! Does anyone have any idea what I may be doing wrong, or if there are other alternatives? Thanks.
