| Stand alone players Hi, My standalone player (Sampo DVE 560 manufactured in June 2000) does not read at all DVD-+R burnt at 4X on BTC DRW 1008IM. The same media, of all types, if burnt at 2X play flawlessy. Same media when recorded at 4X do not report any errors and play fine on both PC and Playstation 2. Do you think it is a problem with the burner? Media used were amongst those supported by BTC (ProdiscSO3, RITEK MO2). Thanks for any help |

What do you mean, they don't read? Do the players recognize the media? Reject them? Do they play with hesitations & jerks? Look your player up at http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers and see what others think of it and what media works well with it. Is there any way you can get that media to a device which can run a KProbe test on it (look for KProbe in the LiteOn Forums)? Failing that, try running the DVDInfo RPM Speed test. See if the graph line steadly climbs to the end or if it become erratic at some point. If you can, post the DVDInfo Speed test graph output of a failing media here. Tell us what firmware you've got in your 1008IM. Gud luk. d | |
