| How to verify burn quality Wow this thread is growing. Great to see that people have found some media that works with this writer. However I think it's important that you verify the media on another DVD drive besides the BTC. Some people (including myself) seem to have problems reading back the burned media on other equipment even though it's perfectly readable on the BTC. So when posting successfull media please let us know if the media verified correctly on another DVD-ROM drive. A simple Nero ScanDisc surface test and/or a Nero Transferrate test should do the trick. K's probe is another excellent utility for testing burnquality. You can get it here http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread....threadid=78353. Burn result: 2 OK (recorded at 2x) Verification result: 2 OK Verification program: nero cd speed Results on standalone players: some freeze ! Verification with KProbe 1.1.26 at speed max and PI/PO sum 8ECC If the screen shot attachment does not work, both graphs present a pick at both maximum near the end (9/10 of the dvd), for the rest the PI is a beat lower than 500 on first 3/4, and grows up to 1000 on the last quarter; and PO is very low (less than 100 and often null) except the pick. i dont know how to interpret those results but i'm interested on a tools that allow to check if video freeze will occurs or not. |

Burn speed: 2X Burn result: ALL 24 OK Verification result: ALL 24 OK Verification program: Nero CD/DVD Speed 2.00/scandisk->File Test Question for Marco All the written medias I could read later in three different DVD ROMS(two LG's, one Plextor)...reading speed from 4.3X to 6.9X at the end of media, with ZERO errors (even tried to copy data on every written media back to HDD) but-most of them are returning read errors when I tried to read them in 1004im writer later strange-if media was originaly burned in that writer...it SHOULDN'T have problems reading it's DVD's but, again, ALL media are being read with no problems and with high speeds in all other DVD-roms reading malfunction? |
