| Keep it or return it I just a BTC 1004 DVD writer but till now I can't burn audio CDs. This is one of things I do most besides DVD movies. It seems to be a firmware problem but can I wait for it ? (I could also try another brand I know) I could return the drive but I rather wait what should I do? Ronald  |

| No and why should I firmware 045 is already taken down by BTC themselves. It cuased nothing but much trouble. And my drive came with Nero 5.5XXX so if I want 6.0019 I have to pay for it. If I want to do it correct. I know of KaZaa, edonkey ect. ect. but this is what I bought it should just work if not BTC delivers a bad product. If Nero 6.0019 works BTC should deliver a FREE update. I can understand the updating of firmware so I did NO result. Ronald |

| What media are you using ? Does it comply to the media support list on the BTC website ? You only write "I can't burn audio CDs." What's the problem ? What is the software you use, what's the error message ? When does the error message popup ? Marco BTC Europe Support |

| Marco, the CDs are not on the list but let's be honest will you EVERY medium should work. The 2 brands I tried are both pretty big names here so they should work. (MMORE & EMTEC) I used of course Nero 5.5.10.33 which came with the drive if you think I better use a new version I feel that BTC has to provide a free update. The error message I get is that I used a incorrect medium or somthing along that line. I decided to keep the drive the Fuji DVD+r worked very well for data haven't tried a movie yet. PLEASE don't make me regret it. Ronald |
