Well, I tried updating using the windows program above, but it crashes my systems and kills my drive (crashed 1/2 way through the update!). I was able to resurrect the drive by using the DOS update program. Is there any place I can get the 250 version in a .BIN file format? Dangerous Bros has older firmware, but not 250.

Yes. There is a thread that explains this. The windows program extracts a .HEX into a temp directory, and you can then flash it with mtkflash.

Thanks Marco, I have emailed you. AWS, I did a search before posting, and found only such a program for Liteon drives. None for BTC. Do you recall the name of the program or thread?

Lately the Liveupdate seems to crash everytime i try to update the drive firmware info O.o
It gives an Error: occured system error The error code is 0X%.8X
Whats this ? XD
