I'm using nero 6.3 and until yesterday I was burning at 8x fine with memorex dvd+r media. While I was burning 2 copies of a 4gb data disk, the first one burned fine but the second one failed at 73%. I've since burned 12 coasters, memorex, tdk and prodisc. I've also changed the data .

I'm using winxp sp2 with f/w 0159. asus a7m266 1.4mhz w 768 ram and 160gb maxtor drive. this drive has been working fine for 4 months. any ideas appreciated

can you try the drive in an other PC, would be interesting to what happens there.

Before you remove the dvd, I would have thought its worth trying to do a system restore in case you have corrupted the registry or a driver or something like that. It may also be worth doing a hard disk cleanup and perhaps even defragment your hard drive before the system restore. These simple steps often solve many "inexplicable" failures.
