Correct MTKFlash usage with the 1004IM?

Hey. I've been trying to flash my 1004 in DOS, using these commands :

For secondary master:
MTKFLASH 3 W /C /M16 ALL.HEX

FOR SECONDARY SLAVE:
MTKFLASH 4 W /C /M16 ALL.HEX

/M16? Is that alright? Also, what does the /c switch specify? Hex firmware?

Also, is this the same procedure to be followed for the unofficial bitsetting firmware? Or do I use this :

mtkflash [x] W /A0 file0.hex
mtkflash [x] W /A1 file1.hex
mtkflash [x] W /A2 file2.hex
mtkflash [x] W /A3 file3.hex
..........and so on and so forth.

filea.hex is /A10
fileb.hex is /A11
filec.hex is /A12
.... and so on until you reach....
filef.hex is /A15 ?

Also, for the binary firmware, how do I use MTK? Like this?

mtkflash x w /b /m 47.bin?

TIA
Bhairav.

Depends on the MTKFLASH version you're using. v1.80 defaults to hex, v1.80.1 to binary. BTW, it's not recommended to set the /B switch with v1.80.1, where it's not needed. May be asking for problems.

As for the /C switch - I haven't the foggiest idea what it means. I've seen that BTC set it in their DOS flash package, however. Refer to the MTKFLASH help page; you'll get it by calling up MTKFLASH without any commands or parameters. Maybe it'll help you to understand what the /C switch will do. It sure didn't help me.

Only if you're using v1.80 or previous. See above, it depends on the MTKFLASH version. However, you should not forget to set the /M switch when flashing the banks separately.

Also, it would not be a bad idea to search for MTKFLASH in this forum. You'd find a lot to read. If what you'll find won't answer your questions, drop me a line.
