Is it recoverable? I was flashing the firmware from .19 to .20 and my system locked; now it can't be detected at all.

It should be recoverable. How were you trying to flash in the first place? You were in DOS, I hope.

MTKFlash, but in a Win98 DOS window instead of pure DOS mode. Chalk it up to naïvete/stupidity. =(

Try flashing it the proper way in DOS.

Not only did I recover the drive, but the annoying problem that was the reason for the upgrade is gone. (It took about 40s to recognise a blank.)
