Bitsetting problem 1004im - Club CDFreaks

Ive tried using the bitsetting program before and its worked with nero 6.3.0.0 (which i dont have anymore). Ive updated my nero to 6.3.1.20 and my firmware to 0051, ive also downloaded the new bitsetting program 1.06, the problem now is that if i use the bitsetting program nero cannot detect the drive anymore until i close the bitsetting program, the same has happend in cdburnerxp. I heard that nero 6.3.1.17 and higher could change the booktype of + discs but there doesnt seem to be that option anywhere (from what i can see). Is it the nero version that i am using that is the problem, is the problem the firmware or is it something else? Thanx for any help guys

you can find it in nero @ recorder, options when a empty dvd is inserted

No it isnt there on mine, is there another solution to my problem?

have you tried the tool 1.05 from www.drvupdate.com?

Yes and 1.04, none work

you do not have to let the bitsetting tool open while burning. just open the tool, set the booktype, close the tool, open nero and burn in normal way. the result should have the booktype you selected.
