| Solution to Unprotecting DRM Protected WMA Files I recently began subscribing to the $9.95/month Premium service on Napster. This enables me to download an unlimited amount of music for one low price. However, a set back to this is that by downloading music through this subscription service, users are not able to transfer the WMA files to CDs or portable devices without purchasing them, due to the DRM protection. My solution to this was to download each track and record it in either a WAV or MP3 recording program as a new stream. This process becomes extremely time consuming. I THOUGHT OF THE ULTIMATE SOLUTION! The following solution is only because to date there is still no program or crack that removes the protection of the WMA files -WRITE a program that the user can select a group of files (WMA files) to be recorded. -The recorder will only record the audio from each individual WMA file and record it as a brand new mp3 file. The user will not have to sit there wiating for each song to finsih playing and stop the recording at the right time. With this program, the recorder will automatically stop at the end of the file. -The program will be able to que large amounts of files to be recorded. The only reason I am posting this is because I do not know any programming languages. If I did, I would do it myself. I really hope someone takes this post serisouly. -Zach ![]()

| May I remind you that by doing so you violate the license under which you downloaded the songs and thus partake in illegal activities afterall. As a result, your thread cannot be considered in line with our forum rules and must be closed. Please respect CD Freaks by respecting our rules, it isn't that hard to do. However, should I be wrong, feel free to send me a PM to convince me of my wrong.
