Music Download, Peer to Peer (P2P) & Legal Issues Discuss, MP3 (or WMA) player info requested...? at International Chat: General Topics forum; If I create an iTunes playlist, can I download MP3 or WMA files from it onto, say, a Coby 741, or an iAudio U2, flash players? Or do I have to only use the Apple ipod stuff, like the Shuffle? Thanks, drummer

I think (but I'm not sure) itunes only works with the ipod.
The latest versions of winamp, however, are starting to add serious media player compatibility.

Unfortunately as Fallingwater mentioned, Apple does support 3rd party MP3 players in its iTunes software, at least as far as I'm aware of. This means that it is not possible to use iTunes to transfer music to any player besides the iPod series.

Worse still, any music you purchase from iTunes' online store can only be played back on an iPod unless you use the recordable CD loophole, in which you burn your purchased music to CD-R/RW and rip it back using an CD to MP3 ripping tool.
