I'm no computer expert but something is wrong. Is there any easy way to fix this problem so that I may successfully open and run Frostwire?

Re: Frostwire troubleshoot please

It sounds like your Java Runtime installation may be corrupt.

Try uninstalling your current version of Java Runtime and download and install the latest version of the Java Runtime software from the Java website.

Either that or you need to install a newer version of FrostWire.

Let me know how it goes.

Re: Frostwire troubleshoot please

First I removed all the Java stuff from my pc and then I removed Frostwire. I the downloaded and installed the most recent version of Frostwire which also downloaded whatever Java component that was necessary at the same time.

Frostwire is working now.

Please note that that as stated in our Forum rules, cross-posting (two or more duplicate threads) is not allowed. Not only does this clutter the forums, but for unresolved issues, users who try providing advice in one thread may end up providing the same advice that someone else provided already in the other duplicate thread. If you accidentally post a thread in the wrong forum, please ask a moderator to move it to the desired forum instead of posting a duplicate.

The duplicate of this thread that was present in the General software forum has now been merged within this one, with the duplicate posts removed.

Sorry... wasn't sure which place to post my inquiry... both sections seemed to apply.

And it also makes sense to me that different people with different areas of expertise might hang out almost exclusively in their section.
